On the morning of January 24, troops of the Kyiv regime attempted to carry out a terrorist attack on civilian targets in the Oryol region.

“This morning, an attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out a terrorist attack using an aircraft-type UAV on targets on the territory of the Russian Federation was stopped.

Duty air defense systems intercepted four unmanned aerial vehicles over the territory of the Oryol region,” the Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

The governor of the region, Andrei Klychkov, confirmed that in the morning hours more unmanned aerial vehicles were neutralized in the Zheleznodorozhny and Northern regions.

According to preliminary data, no one was injured.

According to him, the situation is under control.

As Orel Mayor Yuri Parakhin noted, the downed UAVs caused damage to several high-rise buildings in the Zheleznodorozhny and Northern districts, and glass was broken there.

“The Orel administration has established an emergency commission.

Together with management companies and territorial departments, it will restore the damaged apartment buildings.

If necessary, residents are offered accommodation in temporary temporary accommodation.

I’m in constant contact with them,” he said.

This is the third time in January that Ukrainian drones have been intercepted over the Oryol region.

On January 20, air defense systems on duty destroyed one UAV.

On January 9, between 15:00 and 16:30 Moscow time, three Ukrainian drones tried to attack facilities in the fuel and energy complex.

Three people were injured when two drones fell.

Another UAV fell on a non-residential building near the village of Malaya Sakhanka, Oryol Municipal District.

Shelling of Donetsk

On January 21, as a result of a massive artillery strike by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the market in the Tekstilshchik microdistrict in the Kirovsky district of Donetsk, at least 27 civilians were killed and another 25 were injured.

As the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin emphasized, the attack occurred on Sunday, when the market was crowded.

January 22 was declared a day of mourning in the republic.

Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin ordered to identify all those involved in the crime, including those who gave criminal orders to shell the civilian population and infrastructure.

The Kremlin called the actions of the Kyiv regime a monstrous act of terrorism.

“The Kiev regime continues to show its bestial face.

They attack civilian infrastructure.

They strike at people, at civilians.

The blow that happened the day before on shopping malls in Donetsk is a monstrous act of terrorism,” said Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov.

According to him, a special military operation will continue to “protect our people from this danger.”

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called the actions of the Ukrainian military a barbaric terrorist attack and emphasized that the shelling was carried out using weapons supplied by the West.

“The Russian side categorically condemns this treacherous attack on the civilian population.

The West’s unrestrained desire to inflict a “strategic defeat” on Russia at the hands of Ukrainian puppets, whom it is ready to mindlessly and limitlessly support, is pushing the Kiev regime to increasingly reckless steps, including acts of terrorism, massive violations of international humanitarian law and war crimes,” the department said in a statement.

Sergei Lavrov, speaking at a meeting of the UN Security Council, also said that the blood of dozens of dead civilians is on the hands and conscience of those who arm the Zelensky regime and at the same time officially declares that the Kyiv authorities themselves have the right to choose targets for strikes.

“The merchants of death are not at all embarrassed that their weapons, including cluster munitions and shells with depleted uranium, are methodically, mercilessly, deliberately and deliberately hitting purely civilian targets,” the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry emphasized.
