YouTube: Squeezie is going to take a break for several months

Squeezie is going to take a break from YouTube, which his “best friend” and director of the documentary dedicated to his journey “Thank you Internet” told AFP, the person announced in one of his videos on the platform published Monday evening.

"We're going to take a little YouTube break. Not very long. Two, three months (...) Casually, the doc was the project, maybe a little too much, in addition to the rest, I want say", explains the YouTuber in this video, three days after the release of "Merci internet" on the Amazon Prime Video platform.

Meteorological rise 

Squeezie, whose real name is Lucas Hauchard, who turns 28 on Saturday, has enjoyed a meteoric rise to today accumulate 18.7 million subscribers on YouTube.

“We made the decision to rest. You are going to rest well, but I still have Gentle Mates (its esports structure, Editor's note), the lives, the gaming channel that I will continue. But on the main channel, we decided to make a little gap of videos for two, three months, just to rest, to have clear ideas, to have some inspiration too,” he said. he detailed.

Director and editor Théodore Bonnet told AFP before the release of “Merci internet” that Squeezie was going to take a “real break (for) several months” on his channel “to come back strong”.

But the YouTuber then informed various media, via his production company, that he did not intend to stop.

“We’ve been filming since 2019” for the documentary, he says in his video entitled “The last one for a while, thank you”.

“I hope, guys, that you are going to rest well. I will have news, obviously, of cocktails by the pool,” he adds.
