The EU's new rules for working time rules led during the autumn to ambulance personnel choosing to resign, and not least sparsely populated areas such as Gällivare were hit hard.

- Many of those who commute long distances to work resigned when it was no longer possible to work around the clock, says Anna Bergendorff.

Everyone gets a job

In that situation, it is an advantage that one of the country's three courses for ambulance paramedics is a distance course with a meeting point in Luleå.

- We have a high search pressure and everyone who left has got a job, says Anna Bergendorff.

Students from all over the country

Those who attend the training today come from Ystad in the south to Luleå in the north.

However, there are no students from Norrbotten's more sparsely populated municipalities.

- We would like to see that people who live in Malmfälten applied for the training, says Anna Bergendorff.

Currently, paramedics are wanted across the country.

Demand is greatest in Norrbotten, the Stockholm area and Skåne.

In the clip you will hear more about the training and who you particularly want to train.
