SVT Nyheter has mapped 111 crossings which the Swedish Transport Administration points out as extra dangerous and which need to be urgently remedied.

In Boden, between Gransjö and Sandträsk, the railway crossing has reaped life.

Mats Lund lost his father over 30 years ago and in 2019 his nephew and his wife died.

The latest offer from the Swedish Transport Administration is that the transition should be fixed in 2026 – words Mats Lund does not believe.

- I don't think it will happen then either, there are too few dead.

They're probably waiting for us to move out of here, but I'm not going to do that.

Many travel over the transition

He testifies that many people travel over the railway crossing every day, especially during the summer when the beach in the area beckons.

- If they come at full speed, it takes nine seconds before they are here, says Lund, who in the clip points to the curve that makes it difficult to spot the trains in time.
