The Minister of Agriculture, Marc Fesneau, arrived at the town hall of Pamiers, in Ariège, this Tuesday evening.

At the scene of the tragedy, emotion is still very strong this Tuesday evening and the blockages have been lifted to make way for contemplation after the death of a farmer.

The young woman's relatives gathered for more than three hours this Tuesday away from the media.

They gathered in a small room in the town of Pujols, where Alexandra lived, the farmer who died this Tuesday after being hit by a car on a roadblock.

A few speeches, a cold meal, a psychological unit, organized by the Red Cross, were held.

“The atmosphere is extremely difficult,” says a farmer.

Dozens of people came, left flowers, their eyes red.

Everyone in rural areas is affected.

“I am with them wholeheartedly”

“It’s a family that is part of the Pujols, which is known in the agricultural world of the commune. Even if I am not a farmer, I am a consumer, so I am with them wholeheartedly,” explains, moved, Guilhem , a neighbour.

At the same time, about ten kilometers from here, the Minister of Agriculture went to the scene of the tragedy in Pamiers.

"I think of her daughter who is in great danger. I think of her husband too. It was also to express our sorrow to the agricultural world and the tragedy which affects us all and which affects them, first of all. I believe that there is a lot of emotion in the country,” explains the minister.

But Marc Fesneau is not welcome in Pujols, confides a young farmer this evening.

“The time has come for mourning,” he said, shielded from political considerations.
