Olivier Delacroix leaves for the northern districts of Marseille to meet Aurélie. This History-Geography professor has dedicated her life to the young people of this “sensitive” neighborhood. Aurélie was 24 years old when she was assigned as a teacher in this priority education zone in Marseille. As soon as she arrives, the young woman gets involved without counting to help these young people. She therefore organizes, in parallel with her classes, a writing and rap workshop at the Agora social center. A way to create a window on the world for these adolescents who often feel isolated from the rest of society. Very involved, Aurélie even maintains support outside the walls by welcoming certain young people into her home, like a big family. Thanks to what she describes as “proximity humanitarianism”, the young teacher, now 30 years old, managed to gain the trust of young residents and give them confidence for their future.
