The National Police has arrested
a man in
Argentona
(
Barcelona ) as the alleged perpetrator of the crimes of corruption of minors, child pornography and sexual assault.
Nine victims have been identified
, although images with
more than 70 different minors
have been intercepted
.
As reported by the Police this Tuesday, the arrested person, who has been imprisoned, used his private home to
invite minors to sleep, having previously gained the trust of their parents
.
Once there,
he photographed and recorded them having sexual relations with them
, even taking advantage of his sleep to commit non-consensual abuse.
The investigation began in April 2023, after a
complaint was filed in Santa Cruz de Tenerife
for an alleged crime of child abuse or 'grooming' through an application for Internet players, the victim being a minor under 11 years of age.
After several efforts, the agents found out that the detainee worked in an entity that carried out
leisure activities for children and young people from 3 to 17 years old
.
Two more detainees
In the search of the arrested man's home, numerous digital evidence of his crimes was found, as well as folders with pornographic photographs and videos in which he appeared having sexual relations with minors between 10 and 12 years old.
His
romantic partner was also arrested, who participated in sexual encounters trying to strengthen ties with the minors, as well as
a former student with whom he shared pedophile material
.
The agents
suspect that there may be more minors affected
who have not reported the events due to shame or fear of retaliation.
For this reason, they call on any possible victim or her family to report to the National Police so that they can take action against the detainee.
Likewise, they urge parents and guardians to be alert to any anomalous behavior in minors that may be related to this type of crime.
The investigation remains open to locate other possible victims and new arrests are not ruled out.
