Engineers are the main innovation entities that promote the development of engineering science and technology and are an important part of the country's strategic talent force. They provide basic and strategic talent support for promoting new industrialization and Chinese-style modernization.
Cultivating a large number of outstanding engineers with both ability and political integrity is the long-term development plan of the country and the nation.
Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, engineers have thoroughly studied and implemented Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, adhered to the "four orientations", and continued to make breakthroughs in key areas with the spirit of advancing with the times, the courage to innovate, and perseverance. Core technologies, high-quality projects and "important weapons for a great country" have made outstanding contributions to accelerating the realization of high-level scientific and technological self-reliance and building a world science and technology power.
In order to commend advanced and set examples, build a team of outstanding engineers in the new era, strengthen the construction of national strategic talent, and encourage and mobilize engineers to forge ahead in the new era and make contributions to a new journey, the Party Central Committee and the State Council decided to award 81 individuals including Ding Wenhong as "National Outstanding Engineers" title; awarded the title of "National Outstanding Engineer Team" to 50 teams including the 5G standards and industrial innovation team.
The individual engineers and teams honored this time are outstanding representatives of the engineering team in the new era.
Keeping their original aspiration and mission in mind and having "the great nation" in mind, they have been committed to patriotic struggle, pioneering and innovative work in major engineering construction, major equipment manufacturing, "stuck neck" key core technology research, major inventions and creations, etc., and have achieved a number of advanced projects. Technological achievements continuously enhance the country's independent innovation capabilities and better meet the people's growing needs for a better life. They vividly reflect the engineers' love for the party and country, service to the people, dedication, rigor, excellence, excellence, unity and cooperation, and self-reliance and self-reliance. lofty pursuit and precious spirit.
