In addition to Marcus Wandt, three more astronauts will be on board the SpaceX Falcon 9 space rocket that will take them to the International Space Station ISS.
They will be there for two weeks.
Marcus Wandt also participates in a research project initiated by the Royal Institute of Technology that studies how people's physical and mental health is affected by staying in cramped spaces for longer periods.
Previously, the Swedes Christer Fuglesang and Jessica Meir have traveled into space.
