According to the text of the document, the draft implies toughening criminal liability for public calls for activities directed against Russian security.

The initiative involves the confiscation of money, valuables and other property used to finance crimes against the security of Russia.

In addition, the authors of the bill propose to deprive state awards of those who spread fake news about the Russian Armed Forces, call for extremism and rehabilitate Nazism.

The authors of the bill were State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, Vice Speaker Irina Yarovaya, as well as heads of factions: Vladimir Vasiliev - from United Russia, Gennady Zyuganov - from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Sergei Mironov - from A Just Russia - For Truth, Leonid Slutsky - from LDPR, Alexey Nechaev - from “New People”, head of the Duma Security Committee Vasily Piskarev, head of the Culture Committee Elena Yampolskaya and other deputies.

Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers Commission on Legislative Activities supported a bill to allow the Russian Criminal Code to confiscate property for fakes about the Russian army.
