"We are doing this because of the winter storm that is feared. No departures are cancelled, but we are instead diverting traffic. The storm is expected to have the greatest impact along the coasts and therefore we will not drive there, says Erik Söderberg, press officer at Mälartåg.

This means, among other things, that Målartåg will not operate in Nyköping on Wednesday, trains to and from Norrköping will instead go via Katrineholm.

"We are looking at the possibility of bringing in replacement buses. But they will only roll if it is considered appropriate given the weather, says Erik Söderberg.

Preliminarily, the traffic diversion will be in effect between 11 a.m. and 18 p.m. on Wednesday.
