The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Tuesday that the number of victims of the Israeli aggression has risen to 24,285 martyrs and 61,154 injured since the seventh of last October, while the United Nations accused Israel of obstructing humanitarian aid to the Strip.

The Ministry of Health said that the Israeli occupation army committed 15 massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, killing 158 martyrs and 320 injured during the past 24 hours.

The ministry added that 350,<> people with chronic diseases are without medicine, and the ministry called on international institutions to provide medicines urgently.

The Palestinian Red Crescent said that the Israeli occupation forces demanded that it evacuate Al-Quds Hospital in the Tel Al-Hawa neighborhood, west of Gaza City.

Israeli shelling

Al-Jazeera correspondent reported that 13 martyrs were recovered from Al-Maghazi camp in the central Gaza Strip as a result of Israeli shelling.

The correspondent added that an Israeli shelling targeted fishermen and citizens in the Gaza seaport, leaving two martyrs and a number of wounded, while the continuous Israeli shelling on Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip since this morning caused the death of 10 citizens.

Israeli artillery shelling also caused two shells on Al-Daraj School, which shelters displaced persons in Gaza City, causing a number of injuries.

In the northern Gaza Strip, Israeli warplanes and artillery intensified their bombardment of the city and refugee camp of Jabalya, amid machine gun clashes between the Palestinian resistance and the occupation forces.

The engineering teams of the occupation army also blew up residential neighborhoods in Gaza, Jabalia and Khan Yunis.

The devastating Israeli war on the Gaza Strip has created an "unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe" and caused the displacement of more than 85% of the Strip's population within 3 months, equivalent to 1.9 million people, according to data issued by the Palestinian authorities and the United Nations.

UN accusations

In a related context, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said that since the beginning of 2024, Israel has doubled restrictions on the access of relief missions to the Gaza Strip, and warned of increased health and environmental risks as a result.

The UN office said in a statement that during the first two weeks of January, only 7 of the 29 planned missions to deliver food, medicine, water and other life-saving supplies succeeded in reaching their destinations north of Wadi Gaza.

He added that most of the cases included refusal to deliver fuel and medicine to areas north of Wadi Gaza, in Gaza and northern Gaza governorates.

The World Food Programme (WFP) has warned of "widespread hunger in Gaza", with people starving in places where food aid has not arrived.

"Everyone in Gaza is hungry, and the Integrated Food Security and Nutrition Phase Classification (IPC) has shown that there are devastating levels of food insecurity in Gaza," said Samer Abdul Jaber, WFP Country Director in Palestine.
