The Israeli occupation forces continued to bombard sites in Gaza that led to the death of dozens of Palestinians, in raids at dawn on Monday. Meanwhile, the al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), confirmed that the city of Ashdod was targeted with a batch of rockets.

Al-Jazeera correspondent reported that 33 Palestinians were killed and dozens injured as a result of Israeli shelling on homes in Gaza City at dawn today.

For its part, the Ministry of Health confirmed that the number of martyrs since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on Gaza has risen to about 24,<>, more than two-thirds of them women and children.

Meanwhile, Al Jazeera's correspondent reported that communications and internet services continued to be cut off from the besieged enclave for the fourth consecutive day.

On the other hand, the Qassam Brigades released a video that it said showed the bombing of the city of Ashdod on the outskirts of Tel Aviv with a batch of rockets, and said that the shelling "is a response to the Zionist massacres" against civilians in Gaza.

The Brigades also published scenes of clashes in the Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, showing the close targeting and fusion of its fighters with IDF vehicles and soldiers.

The Israeli army announced the death of a reserve officer from the engineering corps in the fighting in the southern Gaza Strip, and announced that 12 officers and soldiers were wounded in battles in the past 24 hours.

This brings the death toll of the Israeli army to 522, including 194 since the start of the ground offensive on the Gaza Strip on October 26.

IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari said the army would not withdraw from Khan Yunis or anywhere else in the Gaza Strip, and that its forces' operations in the area took time and were adapted to the dangers on the ground and the situation of prisoners.

The Israeli army claimed to have thwarted an attempt by resistance elements to transport weapons via truck in the southern Gaza Strip city of Khan Yunis, and announced that two gunmen had been attacked with a drone while thwarting the attempt.

He said he had confiscated rifles, pistols, grenades, rocket-propelled grenades and diving equipment belonging to a resistance naval force, destroyed two weapons depots in the past 24 hours and attacked Hamas military buildings.
