Burkina Faso: Army receives large consignment of equipment

In Burkina Faso, the national armed forces are receiving new equipment as part of the fight against terrorism. On Friday (January 12th), the President of the Transition, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, handed over a large batch of rolling stock, combat weapons and ammunition to the Ministry of Defense in Ouagadougou. For the Head of State, this is a first batch of equipment provided for by the strategic equipment program of the Burkinabe armed forces. Captain Ibrahim Traoré assures that this delivery was acquired thanks to the various contributions of citizens. With this contribution, the war on terror is moving on to the next level. In addition, his ministry cancelled the recruitment of 1,500 non-commissioned soldiers and technicians for the national gendarmerie.
