Lucia Alves, mother of footballer Dani Alves (40), has just gone a step further in defending the innocence of her son, accused of alleged rape and in pre-trial detention for a year. The Brazilian has shared videos on her social networks with the face of the 24-year-old who sued the former Barcelona player for allegedly sexually assaulting her on the night of December 30, 2022 in the bathroom of the VIP area of the Sutton nightclub in Barcelona.
The video is a compilation of images of the victim edited with music and with appreciations in Portuguese claiming the player's innocence.
"Those who trust in God no longer lose the battle," her mother wrote next to the aforementioned video, in which the young woman appears dancing with friends or celebrating her birthday.
With more than 15,000 followers on her Instagram account, Maria Lucia Alves has been using her social networks for months to publicly preserve the image of the former Barcelona player. He has usually done so by sharing family images, talking about what a good son he is and asking God to help them in this difficult time.
