Turkish solidarity marches from Bayezid Square to Hagia Sophia Mosque (Anatolia)

Demonstrations in solidarity with the Palestinian people continued for the eighth consecutive week in cities around the world, with demonstrators in Germany demanding an end to supplying Israel with weapons, while thousands of Moroccans called for severing ties with Tel Aviv.

According to police estimates, about 2500,<> people participated in a demonstration in the German capital Berlin on Sunday under the slogan "Solidarity with Palestine... No weapons of extermination," they said, demanding an end to the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.

Demonstrators waved Palestinian flags and chanted slogans including "Germany is funding, Israel is bombing", "Long live Palestine" and "German media lies, don't be fooled".

The demonstrators demanded an end to the supply of weapons to Israel and an end to joint cooperation and armament projects with it.

Meanwhile, another demonstration in the German capital with slogans denouncing anti-Semitism and racism took part in some 3200,<> people, according to a police spokeswoman.

Turkey

Istanbul and other Turkish provinces witnessed marches in solidarity with Palestine, coinciding with International Human Rights Day.

Demonstrators gathered in Bayezid Square on the European side of Istanbul, carrying banners expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people and others denouncing the Israeli war.

The demonstrators then marched to the Grand Mosque of Hagia Sophia, where verses from the Koran and supplications were recited.

Similar demonstrations took place in the provinces of Konya, Diyarbakir, Mardin, Batman and Elazig, with participants waving Palestinian and Turkish flags.

Morocco

Thousands demonstrated in the capital Rabat in solidarity with Gaza, demanding that the Moroccan government cut ties with Israel.

Demonstrators chanted slogans such as "Gaza, Gaza is a symbol of pride" and "No jogging, no normalization... Palestine is not for sale" and "the people want to overthrow normalization," they also burned the Israeli flag.

Reuters said organizers chose the day to coincide with International Human Rights Day, the same day Morocco decided to reopen Israel's liaison office in Rabat in 2020.

Aziz Hanaoui, secretary-general of the Moroccan Observatory against Normalization, told Reuters, "This demonstration comes within the framework of the continuation of the Moroccan popular mobilization condemning the Zionist aggression and the genocide of the Palestinian people with the blessing of the United States and the West."

"December 10th marks the third anniversary of the resumption of Moroccan-Zionist relations, and for this the Moroccan people are marching and a large number of marches and vigils they organized, demanding an end to the normalization process," he added.

Tunisia

Hundreds of supporters of the opposition Salvation Front marched in solidarity with Gaza, as well as to demand the release of Tunisian political prisoners.

The march started from Place de la République in Tunis to the Municipal Theatre on Habib Bourguiba Avenue.

Demonstrators chanted slogans including "With soul and blood we redeem you, Palestine" and "O martyr, don't bother. Freedom is redeemed by blood" and "Freedoms, freedoms... Don't spend instructions."

Israel is waging a devastating war on the Gaza Strip that has left about 18,49 people dead, mostly women and children, and more than <>,<> injured, according to the Strip's health ministry.
