The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the destruction of more than 20 Ukrainian drones over the Moscow, Tula, Kaluga, Smolensk and Bryansk regions on the night of November 26.

"Tonight, an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack using aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles on targets on the territory of the Russian Federation was thwarted. Air defense systems on duty destroyed 11 UAVs over the territory of the Moscow, Tula, Kaluga and Bryansk regions," the department reported at about 04:45 Moscow time.

In a message dated 06:20 Moscow time, the Ministry of Defense announced the destruction of nine more enemy UAVs in the same regions. At about 09:30 Moscow time, it was reported about the destruction of four more devices over the territory of the Bryansk, Smolensk and Tula regions.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin also said that there was an attempt at a mass drone attack on the capital.

"Air defense forces shot down UAVs in the area of Naro-Fominsk and the Odintsovo urban district, flying to Moscow... There are no casualties or serious damage," the mayor wrote on Telegram.

Representatives of emergency services are working at the sites of the fall of the wreckage of the drones. Later, Sobyanin said that other UAVs were shot down in the urban districts of Podolsk and Ramenskoye.

In turn, the governor of the Moscow region, Andrei Vorobyov, reported damage to buildings as a result of a night drone attack in the region.

"In three cases, there is damage to buildings on the ground, fortunately, there are no dead or injured. On the ground, the heads of municipalities will head operational headquarters and provide assistance to residents where necessary," Vorobyov said.

The governor of the Tula region, Alexander Dyumin, said that one of the Ukrainian drones lost control and crashed into an apartment building in Tula.

"There is no serious damage, the glazing of three apartments was damaged. One of the residents of the house received a slight cut wound. He was provided with medical assistance. The response of emergency services is organized. In the near future, work will be carried out to glaze the affected apartments," the governor said in a statement.

The head of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, also announced several facts of the destruction of the UAV, noting that as a result of these events, there were no casualties or destruction.

Along with this, the governor of the Smolensk region, Vasily Anokhin, announced the suppression of the enemy's UAV and asked residents of the region to refrain from distributing photo and video materials with drones on social networks.

In addition, the head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, said that on the night of November 26, the Armed Forces of Ukraine tried to damage the region's energy system. According to him, due to the massive strikes, not all weapons were shot down, as a result of which part of the territory of the republic was de-energized.

"Some cities and districts of the republic were left without electricity. As a result, a number of boiler houses do not supply heat, emergency crews are working. The government has been instructed to work in staff mode," he wrote on Telegram.

According to Pushilin, in the morning, power engineers have already restored power supply in a number of settlements of the DPR. He stressed that everything possible is being done to return the supply of electricity to citizens as soon as possible.
