According to him, when the U.S. touched upon the topic of the post-war administration and development of the Gaza Strip, the Palestinian side called for talking not about the next day, but about today.

"We don't want to get caught up in any talk about the future of Gaza, the priority now is a ceasefire," al-Habbash said.

He added that Palestine is responsible not only for the Gaza Strip, but also for the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

Earlier, the deputy speaker of the Palestinian parliament and one of the leaders of the Hamas movement, Ahmed Bahar, died from his injuries.
