In the keynote speech session, Ling Ming, deputy director of the Beijing Municipal Administration of Cultural Heritage, delivered a keynote speech entitled "Innovative Practice of Beijing's World Heritage". Ling Ming introduced the practical cases in the field of cultural heritage protection in Beijing in recent years, and proposed a comprehensive protection system with the old city of Beijing as the core, the linear cultural belt as the overview, and the national park as the drive.

He pointed out that the construction of a comprehensive protection system is a strengthening of the management and protection of cultural relics protection units, which not only maintains the historical value of cultural heritage itself, but also provides a good environment for the public to visit and educate.

At the same time, Beijing has transformed cultural heritage into an important pillar of economic development and mutual learning among civilizations through the three concepts of "concept guidance", "achievement benefit" and "resource service". By increasing the participation of local residents in heritage protection activities, the sense of identity between "residents, community and heritage" will be enhanced, and cultural heritage will be further integrated into residents' lives, which will become an important driving force for improving the quality of life.

Tang Yuyang, Executive Vice President of the Institute of Architectural Heritage of Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture and Executive Vice President of the Beijing Great Wall Culture Research Institute, delivered a keynote speech entitled "The 'Beijing Experience' of World Cultural Heritage Protection and Management". She introduced the concepts, methods and paths of the protection of Beijing's world cultural heritage in the past five years, and demonstrated the good development trend of the protection and management of Beijing's world cultural heritage through data presentation.

"Beijing has formed a characteristic cultural heritage protection system with 'multiple subjects, multiple values, and multiple funds'." She put forward suggestions for continuous research on the basic theories and methods of the interpretation of heritage value and the sustainable development of regional natural and cultural ecology, and pointed out that on this basis, from the perspective of heritage system and protection mechanism, the "credibility", "effectiveness", "capacity building", "communication" and "community" should be comprehensively improved.

Julia Kim-Davies, Programme Officer of the UNESCO Office in Bangkok, reviewed the winning projects in China of the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Prize for Heritage Conservation. She pointed out that with the development of World Heritage conservation concepts and the updating of methods, China's heritage conservation projects have shown a trend of diversification and integration, especially innovative design in the context of heritage sites, which not only demonstrates the important role of infrastructure protection for the sustainability of heritage ontology, but also demonstrates the specific value of traditional wisdom in addressing the challenges of environmental sustainability.
