Racing drones, or FPV drones, where FPV stands for first-person view, are equipped with a grenade that explodes when it flies into the target. They cost a few thousand dollars and can be used against trucks, but also artillery or tanks.

According to Ukraine's Minister of Digital Transition, Mykhaylo Federov, drones are a priority area for the country.

"On some sections of the front, drones knock out more targets than artillery," he told the AP news agency.

The range is a maximum of 10 comets, but recently there are reports that Ukraine has managed to exceed this with creative solutions.

Increase production

Ukraine has a large production of drones, but it has so far been a decentralized operation based mainly on various private companies and volunteers. Now the Ukrainian state will take greater responsibility for development and production. According to him, the work will begin this autumn and the results will soon be noticeable.

"We will increase the production of drones. A new stage of the war will soon begin, says Mykhaylo Federov.
