A week after an Azerbaijani blitzkrieg in the breakaway Caucasus region, Armenia is still hosting tens of thousands of refugees fleeing Nagorno-Karabakh on Wednesday. Bruno Retailleau, senator of the Vendée and president of the group Les Républicains, guest of the Grande interview of Europe 1-CNews on Wednesday, the international community abandons the Armenian people.

"He gesticulated." For Bruno Retailleau, senator of the Vendée, president of the group Les Républicains and guest of the Grande interview d'Europe 1-CNews, Emmanuel Macron has not given enough support to the Armenian people. Instead of the president, the senator would have tabled a resolution at the UN Security Council.

According to him, thanks to this action, "the voice of the France would have been raised". He asserts that: "The international community, especially the West and Europe, has disgraced itself. Europe that buys gas from Azerbaijan, gas that comes from Russia. And I accuse him. It is in the process of hijacking the sanctions it has decided itself."

"Armenia is left alone in its misfortune!"

The situation in Armenia provokes black anger among the senator. As a reminder, Azerbaijan has pledged to allow the rebels, who would surrender their weapons, to go to Armenia, and opened Sunday the only road linking Nagorno-Karabakh to this country, four days after the capitulation of the separatists. A ceasefire agreement places the region of about 120,000 inhabitants, populated mainly by Armenians, under Baku's control.

"Armenia is left alone in its misfortune! They are too Christian, are we afraid of Mr. Erdogan? All this is lamentable," says Bruno Retailleau. He punctuates: "And there, we have an ethnic and religious cleansing. We don't do anything, you realize? We dishonor ourselves."
