Hong Kong, 9 Sep (Zhongxin Net) -- Sponsored by the Hong Kong Federation of Overseas Chinese Associations (hereinafter referred to as the "Hong Kong Federation of Overseas Chinese") and undertaken by the Hong Kong Federation of Overseas Chinese and Overseas Chinese, the "Unite Overseas Chinese Heart, Create Brilliant Overseas Chinese and Hong Kong Unified Literary and Art Gala" was staged at the Grand Theatre of Shin Kong Theatre in North Point, Hong Kong on the evening of 19 September. Wong Chu-kee, President of the Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, said in his speech that the gala aims to celebrate the 26th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland and the 74th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, and also responds to the cultural promotion activity of "Linking Ancestral Homes and Searching for Ancestral Origins" launched by the Home Affairs Department of the Hong Kong SAR Government.

Huang Chuji expressed the hope that this performance can widely spread the patriotic feelings of overseas Chinese, tell Chinese stories well, unite overseas Chinese hearts, gather overseas Chinese strength, and let the patriotic spirit pass on the torch.

The evening was jointly presented by the Art Troupe of the Hong Kong Overseas Chinese Association and the Art Troupe of the School of Music and Dance of Huaqiao University. The party kicked off with the large-scale song and dance "Pearl of the Orient" and "China in the Lights", light and flexible Dai dance, elegant ballet, exotic Indonesian folk song skewers, and dance "Overseas Chinese Approval" that tells patriotic and hometown stories... The wonderful program allowed the audience to enjoy the audio-visual feast, and the scene burst into applause from time to time. In the chorus of "Sing the Motherland", the party came to an end.

Chen Zetao, Deputy Director of the Coordination Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Chen Kun, member of the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and president of the Hong Kong Federation of Overseas Chinese, and Li Changsheng, permanent honorary president of the Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and chairman of the Federation of Overseas Chinese in Hong Kong, attended the event.
