A man was found dead this Sunday evening on the edge of the Green Lake in Mittersheim (Moselle).

The victim has been identified.

He is a 67-year-old fisherman living in a village in the region.

The place held no secrets for him.

His fishing equipment was discovered near the corpse, reports

The privileged accidental track

An investigation was launched to clarify the circumstances of the death of the sixty-year-old.

It was entrusted to the gendarmes of the Dieuze brigade community.

The investigations make say to the soldiers that the fisherman would have succumbed to a cardiac arrest.

The hypothesis of an accident is therefore privileged.

However, examinations will be carried out on the body in order to eliminate the criminal trail.

The body had been seen by a man launching his boat near the area reserved for water skiing.

The body was in the middle of the reeds, near the edge of the pond.

The witness immediately notified the emergency services.

Firefighters and Samu had been dispatched to the scene.

The rescuers, on the other hand, had been unable to do anything to save the fisherman, who had already died on their arrival.
