Twenty boats burn in the port of L'Estaque in Marseille

, the firefighters indicated that 21 light boats stored in the dry port were destroyed.

The fire also won 10 moored boats.

Eight of them burned down and five sank.

70 Marseille firefighters, reinforced by 10 firefighters from outside the city, deployed around twenty nautical and land vehicles.

By late morning, the incident was contained but flooding operations were still in progress.

Means to contain maritime pollution have also been put in place.

The origin of this fire remains to be determined.
