23 July 2021 The councilor Massimo Adriatici does not remember what happened at the time of the shot that killed the 39-year-old Younes El Boussettaoui, a version in part contrasting with that initially provided to the investigators of the accidentally fired shot at the time of the fall to the ground. This is what the councilor for security of the municipality of Voghera explained to the judge for preliminary investigations Maria Cristina Lapi in the guarantee questioning, accompanied by her lawyer Gabriele Pipicelli.

At the end of the hearing, which lasted two hours, Adriatici came out escorted by the carabinieri who took him back to his home where he is under house arrest.

The investigating judge will decide on Saturday on the request made by the Pavia prosecutor to confirm the precautionary measures in Adriatici, now under house arrest, due to the danger of the repetition of the crime and the pollution of the evidence.

The defense of Adriatici: "Victim of unprecedented violence"

The councilor's lawyers held a press conference in which they tried to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident that led to the killing of the boy of Moroccan origin: "Adriatici did not go out to look for El Boussettaoui". Pipicelli explains: "As in other circumstances, he turned with this weapon in his pocket because he had requested a firearm license for dangerous situations of the person who had been represented to the competent authorities and which the authorities had considered existent, 'is that his firearm license had just been renewed. He always had the shot in the barrel because, when one is undergoing police training and carries a weapon, he knows that if he is in a dangerous situation and stress, can panic. If you remove the safety, however, you can shoot without stress and not do further activities that take you away time. Adriatici was the victim of an unprecedented and sudden violence that made him fall to the ground, giving him a state of confusion ".

"He is a destroyed man"

"He is a destroyed man, deeply sorry: he is a normal person who has never had a note in his professional career", concluded the lawyer who also excluded that between his client and El Boussettaoui they could there have been previous arguments or moments of tension.

Meanwhile, in Piazza Meardi, the sister of the victim Bahija, accompanied by the lawyer Debora Piazza, continues to look for witnesses who can reconstruct the dynamics of the accident, given that the security cameras of the Ligurian Bar were out of order at that time.

Saturday afternoon will be the day of the event organized by the family where the participation of various social centers in northern Italy is also expected. For this reason, the mayor of Voghera Paola Garlaschelli wrote to the operators of the center saying to "pay all appropriate attention" and suggesting "to evaluate the possible closure of their business".

The reconstruction of the story

While awaiting the results of the autopsy on Youns Bousseataoui and the scientific findings, in the meantime, the videos of the cameras placed in Piazza Meardi are being analyzed to reconstruct what happened on Tuesday evening when Massimo Adriatici, the municipal councilor for security at Lega altitude, fired with his caliber 22 to the 39 year old. Already on Thursday, a video taken by the security systems emerged showing the victim punching the councilor Adriatici who falls to the ground. The camera, however, does not frame the moment of the shot which therefore still remains a circumstance shrouded in mystery.

Three witnesses, two of whom can be seen in the video, would support the investigators' thesis. Their depositions are defined in the Prosecutor's Office as "consistent". For the investigators, it was not really a legitimate defense, but something that closely resembles it: a 'culpable excess' of legitimate defense, that is, the suspect would have miscalculated a danger that was not so serious because of "imprudence or inexperience ". Certainly Adriatici was 'keeping an eye on' that man because a few hours earlier at the Cervino bar, not far from the 'Ligure', the manager had told him that the previous evening El Boussetaoui had annoyed some customers.

The family lawyer, Debora Piazza, who had assisted El Boussetaoui in his previous trials for drug dealing and resistance, protests because the relatives were not informed of the autopsy and could not participate with their consultant. he knew that there was a sister in France, a brother in Switzerland and a father in Novara to whom he could notify the information. Finally, it is not clear when the expulsion measures against the homeless date back. The Prosecutor is not aware of it, the carabinieri "speak of at least 3" passing papers from 2012 onwards, but they do not know how to specify the dates, while the family's lawyer does not appear.

Younes's sister continues to ask for justice: "An innocent man was killed. Adriatici shot him with the intention of killing him, hit him in the heart. Was he sick? Up to two months he wasn't sick, yes he liked to live in the open, in a house he was suffocating. But he was psychically ill only recently, I don't know what happened. "
