The diplomat stressed that Russia has never used energy resources as a weapon for political pressure and rejects any accusations in this regard.
Earlier it became known that the joint statement of Germany and the United States on "Nord Stream 2" states, among other things, that "if Russia tries to use energy as a weapon," the FRG, in turn, "will insist on effective measures for European level, including sanctions, to limit the possibilities of Russian exports to Europe.
