Kulmbach (dpa / lby) - Two drivers were seriously injured in a frontal collision on federal highway 85 in Kulmbach.
A 48-year-old overlooked another car on Thursday afternoon when turning left onto the B85, the police said.
The 22-year-old, who was traveling on the main road, was able to avoid a collision with an evasive steering to the left.
In doing so, however, his vehicle broke out and hurled the left side of the vehicle head-on into an oncoming car belonging to a 69-year-old.
Both men were seriously injured.
The B85 was closed for about two hours while the accident was recorded.
