It was at 23.08 on Tuesday evening that the police were to check a car in Barkarby in Järfälla municipality outside Stockholm.

But the driver did not stop but instead drove on towards E18.

Once at E18, the driver drove out in the wrong direction on the motorway and the police then had to cancel the follow-up.

Shortly afterwards, they saw the same car again on Kaptensvägen and resumed the hunt.

On Majorsvägen in Järfälla, they finally got a stop on the car - but only after three police cars and the car they were following had been damaged.

Exactly how the cars are damaged, Towe Hägg, press spokesperson for the police, could not answer.

- Most people stop when the police make the stop sign.

Most stops and checks go as they should, but this time the driver chose not to stop, she says.

The driver, a man in his 50s, is now suspected of traffic offenses and drunk driving.
