Velbert (dpa / lnw) - A Sunday excursion to the snowy Bergisches Land has come to an end for two adults and two children with a completely burned down mobile home.

The vehicle parked shortly before on a country road in Velbert caught fire on Sunday afternoon, as the fire brigade announced.

Despite the extinguishing foam, it burned down to the metal frame.

According to the information on Monday, no one was injured.

According to the police, several of the inmates had been walking after the stop, except for one person who wanted to take photos.

She discovered rising smoke.

When the alerted firefighters arrived, the empty mobile home was already on fire across the entire area.

A fire department spokesman explained that cooling a propane gas bottle that was on board was particularly important during the operation.

Before the fire started, everyone was outside.

Presumably, the occupants of the mobile home from Recklinghausen were grandparents with grandchildren.

The police suspect a technical defect as the cause of the fire.

The damage to property is estimated at around 20,000 euros.
