Weiden (dpa / lby) - A 39-year-old broke into a car in Weiden in the Upper Palatinate to short-circuit it and steal it - and fell asleep.
As the police announced on Sunday, the owner came back to his car and found the 39-year-old sleeping in the driver's seat.
The alerted police found that the man was apparently under the influence of intoxicants on Saturday night.
The prosecution ordered a blood test before he was released.
The attempted theft resulted in property damage of around 1000 euros.
