Lehrte (dpa / lni) - Strangers racially insulted and kicked a man in Hanover because of his skin color.

When boarding an S-Bahn at the main train station on Friday evening, they insulted the 25-year-old, the police said on Sunday.

To avoid escalation, the young man moved away from the group and sat down to one side.

In Lehrte (Hanover region) he got off at another door.

He was listening to music on his headphones and suddenly received a strong blow in the neck that drove him to the ground.

At least three people kicked and insulted him multiple times.

The 25-year-old suffered minor injuries.

He assumes that these are the men from the train.

The Lehrte police station initiated an investigation into sedition and dangerous physical harm against the wanted men.
