Leipzig (dpa / sn) - An extensive arsenal was discovered in a Bundeswehr soldier of the Special Forces Command (KSK) from Northern Saxony last May.

The investigators also found writings with right-wing extremist content.

From Friday (9 a.m.) on, the 45-year-old has to answer before the Leipzig Regional Court.

The indictment accuses the elite soldier of violating the War Weapons Control Act, the Weapons Act and the Explosives Act.

The district court has scheduled a total of eight trial days until the end of March.

When searching the private property of the sergeant major in Collm last year, the investigators discovered, among other things, two kilograms of explosives.

They also found several thousand pieces of rifle and pistol ammunition, a crossbow, a smoke hand grenade, as well as firearms and weapon parts, including a silencer.

An SS songbook and right-wing magazines and stickers were also found.

At the beginning of December, the man was released from custody under certain conditions.

"My client will make a statement on the allegations at the start of the process," said lawyer Andrej Klein from Dresden on request.

In addition, two police officers are called as witnesses for Friday to report on the state of the investigation.
