The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, said that in a few months the European Union will have more doses of the coronavirus vaccine than it needs, so the European Commission is ready to propose a mechanism for transferring part of the vaccines to third countries.
"In a few months we will have more doses than we can use," RIA Novosti quoted her as saying.
She noted that the EC could offer a mechanism to access some of its vaccines for third countries, she added.
Earlier, she said that in the EU countries they plan to vaccinate up to 70% of the adult population against coronavirus by the summer.
