Wolfsburg (AP) - Defender Maxence Lacroix from VfL Wolfsburg will make his first Bundesliga appearance since his corona infection in the home game against RB Leipzig on Saturday.
The 20-year-old Frenchman is said to take the place of Marin Pongracic in the Wolfsburg defense, who had to be exchanged exhausted at Union Berlin at 2-2 a week ago.
"Fortunately, Lacroix is fit again today," said VfL coach Oliver Glasner before the game (3:30 p.m.) on Sky.
Therefore, he could pull Josuha Guilavogui back into midfield.
Lacroix tested positive for the coronavirus just before Christmas.
Although he hardly complained of symptoms during his two-week quarantine, the doctors advised in the past week that he should exercise less stress in training.
The new signing from FC Sochaux only trained normally with his team in the past few days.
