Berlin (AP) - 1. FC Union is about to sign Leon Dajaku from FC Bayern Munich.
Managing Director Oliver Ruhnert confirmed the advanced negotiations with the German record champions on Saturday.
If the 19-year-old passes the medical check, he will be able to start training with the Berlin Bundesliga club on Monday.
Offensive player Dajaku has so far played two Bundesliga appearances for FC Bayern and his previous club VfB Stuttgart.
Most recently he was used in Bayern's third division selection and is said to have piqued the interest of other clubs.
Union was recently looking for an alternative to attack because of various injured offensive players.
Ruhnert gave no information about the contract period, but indirectly confirmed that it was not a loan deal only for this season.
