06 January 2021 A new strong earthquake of magnitude 5.3 was recorded in Croatia at around 18 (same Italian time), with its epicenter not far from Petrinja, the town about fifty km southeast of Zagreb which remained semi-destroyed due to the violent earthquake of 6.4 of 29 December last. The regional media reports.



The quake was also detected by the Trieste seismographs. In the Julian capital, the earthquake was felt in several districts.



According to reports from the Civil Protection Fvg, the quake occurred at 18:01 and was of magnitude: 5.2 (MLRichter), at a depth of 15 kilometers 47 kilometers south-south-east of Zagreb, Croatia.
