Reuters reported that 3 UAE companies have organized shipping operations to export millions of barrels of oil from Venezuela in the last half of this year.

The agency added that the value of Venezuela's oil exports managed by the three Emirati companies amounted to more than $ 200 million, and were carried out by oil tankers whose name had been changed.

Reuters stated, based on documents obtained from the state oil company of Venezuela, that the value of smuggled shipments represents 4% of the total value of Venezuela's oil exports.

According to the agency, the UAE has become the headquarters of companies that help Venezuela evade US sanctions on oil.

Washington previously accused Iran of using Emirati companies to facilitate exports despite US sanctions, and the US Treasury Department punished more than 6 entities based in the United Arab Emirates this year, which it said were involved in buying or brokering in the sale of Iranian oil and petrochemical products.
