Spain started its vaccination campaign this Sunday -

A 96-year-old resident of a retirement home in central Spain was the first person to be vaccinated this Sunday against Covid-19 in the country, according to images broadcast by national television.
Araceli Rosario Hidalgo Sanchez confided, with a smile, that he felt “nothing” when the vaccine was injected to him.
This lady with short white hair, a resident of the Los Olmos retirement home in Guadalajara (center), then gently stood up after putting on her black jacket and left on a walker.
The honored retirement home
A caregiver, Monica Tapias, working at the retirement home was then the second person in the country to receive the Pfizer-BioNtech vaccine.
This retirement home was chosen to launch the vaccination campaign in Spain because of its proximity to a Pfizer depot, where the vaccines arrived this Saturday from Belgium, before being distributed throughout the country.
She was also chosen because she had no cases of Covid-19.
"It is a great pride and great satisfaction for us: we represent all the retirement homes in Spain," said the director of the institution Marina Vadillo on Thursday.
"It's an honor for all of us," she added to the press.
The European Medicines Agency (EMA) authorized the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine on Monday, paving the way for the launch of vaccinations in the 27 member states.
