In the video, a "dance link" ousts an Iranian official from his post and leads him to arrest

A dance link performed by an Iranian official at his workplace cost dismissal from his job and even arrest, after a video of him was posted on social media.

Iranian tweeters have circulated a video during the past hours, in which the public relations official at Hormozgan Province Post Office appears, performing a dance among a group of employees.

The Iranian “Tafana” Center for Human Rights stated that Ghulam Reza Tibi performed the dance inside the building of the Postal Company, and it ended with his dismissal from his job and his arrest by the authorities.

Iranian law does not consider dancing as a crime, but judicial officials have relied on laws on “publishing vulgar content” and “posing as a forbidden act,” to convict Tibi.

The Iranian "Rana" agency said that after Tayeb's dismissal from his government post, an arrest warrant was issued against him, on Wednesday.

On the other hand, the director of the Postal Company, Abdullah Abdali, confirmed that Tibi was dismissed from his position for "acts and behavior in violation of regulations in the workplace."
