Governmental hospitals excel in the classification of health facilities in Abu Dhabi

The results of the first round of classification of health facilities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, through the Abu Dhabi Health Services Quality Program (Index), revealed the superiority of government hospitals over private ones in the classification, as two government hospitals received a classification of five diamonds, and four hospitals received a classification of four diamonds, while a private hospital One on the classification of four diamonds.

The results showed that most of the emirate's hospitals achieved advanced results in indicators measuring patient happiness, a safe work environment, and a significant decline in the standard of scientific research and innovation, and the standard of clinical treatment outcomes.

The results of the general evaluation carried out by the Abu Dhabi Department of Health for 47 governmental and private hospitals in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, which was based on the results of the evaluation of nine axes, showed that two hospitals received a full score rating (five diamonds), five hospitals received four diamonds, and 32 hospitals received three assessments. Two diamonds, seven hospitals, and one diamond assessment.

The results showed that Sheikh Khalifa Medical City and Cleveland Hospital issued the results of the evaluation by achieving outstanding performance and obtaining five diamonds, while Medior Hospital Abu Dhabi issued the results of private hospitals with exceptional performance and obtaining four diamonds.

The Department of Health in Abu Dhabi explained that the “Moasher” program focuses on nine axes, according to which health facilities are classified according to the “Diamonds” system, which was developed based on mathematical and statistical equations that calculate the performance of hospitals and classify them into five categories annually. Distinguished facilities will receive a classification of One to five diamonds.
