Munich (dpa) - In a lawsuit for one of the most famous advertising figures in Germany, the Munich district court wants to announce its verdict today: The fish finger manufacturer Iglo wants to forbid the competitor Appel Feinkost to advertise with a similar advertising figure in a seaman's look.

Appel Feinkost advertises under the motto “küstlich fein” with a weather-beaten gentleman who, like Captain Iglo, wears a beard and a sailor's hat.

According to the district court, Iglo argues consumers could confuse the two advertising characters.

Iglo accuses Appel Feinkost of unfair competition.
