Benndorf (dpa / sa) - A 21-year-old man was seriously injured in an accident on Bundesstraße 6 near Kabelsketal (Saalekreis).
As the police announced on Wednesday, the young man was driving towards Halle on Tuesday evening when another car also drove onto the B6 near Benndorf.
The man tried to brake, turned left and lost control of his vehicle.
Thereupon his car threw right into a ditch, overturned several times and came to a stop lying on its side.
The man was able to free himself from the vehicle. Shortly afterwards it caught fire. The 21-year-old was rushed to hospital with serious injuries. Initially, nothing was known about the other car involved and its driver, as well as the amount of damage to property.
