The Presidency of the Republic called on Monday a police commissioner who was injured Saturday during the demonstration against the text of the law "Global security" and police violence in Paris, said the Elysee.

This commissioner is the policewoman most seriously affected among the 98 members of the police force injured during the various demonstrations which took place in the country, according to a report given Sunday by the Minister of the Interior Gerald Darmanin.

Several calls from the Elysée

The Elysee Palace had let it be known on Sunday that a call had been made on Saturday by the presidency to Michel Zecler, the producer who was beaten up by the police, to hear from him.

Emmanuel Macron asked the government on Friday evening to quickly make proposals to restore confidence between the French and the police.

Announcements to this effect should be made soon, a government source said.
