• Fuga.Madrid announces that another 433 Catalan companies move their headquarters to the capital and 3,558 have already been there since 1-O

Isabel Díaz Ayuso's visit to Catalonia, in the midst of the independence offensive for fiscal harmonization, culminated this Friday with an offer of assistance to Catalan businessmen who have decided to settle in Madrid fleeing the separatist persecution.

«I am glad that many businessmen come to Madrid, but I regret that they are forced to do so.

It is not because of an economic question, as Mr. Rufián says, it is because they cannot take it anymore.

It is because they do not allow them to school their children in Spanish, it is because they are harassed or despised, "denounced the president of the Community of Madrid, who during these two days has touched the social climate that exists in the region in meetings with hoteliers affected by the closures of the Generalitat, with constitutional entities such as Catalan Civil Society or with associations in favor of bilingual schooling.

Ayuso has promised to give his "help" to Catalan businessmen who are in Madrid to "grow together".

"I want businessmen to come from all corners of the world because they freely decide," proclaimed the popular leader, who has presented the Community of Madrid as a "refuge of peace and respect."

3,500 companies have fled since 1-O

Ayuso's offer occurs when 443 Catalan companies have settled in Madrid so far this year.

A figure that has not stopped increasing since the illegal referendum of 1-O.

Since then, 3,558 companies with their original headquarters in Catalonia have moved to the Madrid community, according to regional government estimates.

In parallel to its offer of shelter, Ayuso has demanded that Catalan secessionism "stop suffocating" Catalan families and entrepreneurs and that it does not intend to extend its "tyranny" and "impoverishment" to the whole of Spain by harmonizing upwards the taxation promoted by ERC and endorsed by the PSOE.

"These people and companies are leaving Catalonia and going to other communities such as Madrid, and they find that they now intend to carry out national policy and a new fiscal policy. They cannot get rid of them anywhere," lamented the president of the Community of Madrid.

The president of the Catalan Civil Society has made the same arguments after his meeting with Ayuso.

Fernando Sánchez Costa has accused ERC of seeking regional fiscal harmonization to cover up the mismanagement of the Government that he shares with JxCat, which has "ruined" Catalonia and now wants to "change the rules of the game to compete on equal terms" with other territories like Madrid.
