The Ministry of Agriculture specifies that a first withdrawal and a recall of several batches of suspicious dry sausages of the Saint Azay brand marketed by the Leclerc sign took place "from Friday, November 13 on the basis of the first elements of the 'investigation".

On November 16, 2020, "in addition and in a preventive manner", the company France Salaisons also proceeded with the withdrawal and recall of several batches "bearing the health mark FR 69.238.010 CE" and marketed in the self-service department in the brands Lidl and Aldi.

Ditto for sandwiches "bearing the health mark FR 01.159.002 CE" and marketed by the Auchan, Casino, Monoprix, Leader Price and Franprix brands.

"The health authorities recommend that people who still hold the products concerned not to consume them and to return them to the point of sale where they were purchased," said the ministry.

Foodborne illnesses caused by salmonella result in sudden onset gastrointestinal disturbances (diarrhea, vomiting), often accompanied by fever and headaches which generally occur 6 to 72 hours after consumption of the contaminated products. .

People who have consumed these products and who present these symptoms are invited to consult their doctor, notifying him of this consumption.

"In the absence of symptoms within 7 days after consumption of the products concerned, there is no need to worry and consult a doctor," he said.
