Wallenhorst (dpa / lni) - A 70-year-old cyclist was killed in a traffic accident in Wallenhorst in the Osnabrück district.
A 77 year old driver sustained life threatening injuries.
He lost control of his vehicle on Monday afternoon, presumably due to health problems, the police reported.
The car went off the lane and caught the cyclist.
Then the senior hit a low wall on his bike.
He died at the scene of the accident.
By order of the Osnabrück public prosecutor's office, the car and bicycle were confiscated for further investigation.
A blood sample was also taken from the driver and the driver's license was confiscated.
