All poverty-stricken counties in 21 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities in China, including Gansu and Guangxi, all got rid of poverty
China News Service, Beijing, November 21 (Reporter Ruan Yulin) The Gansu Provincial Government announced on the 21st that all the 75 impoverished counties in Gansu Province had already taken their hats and withdrew.
Up to now, all poverty-stricken counties in 21 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities including Gansu, Guangxi, Sichuan, Yunnan, Xinjiang, Anhui, Jiangxi, Qinghai, Tibet, and Inner Mongolia have all been lifted out of poverty.
There are 75 poverty-stricken counties in Gansu Province, of which 58 are poverty-stricken counties in the contiguous poverty-stricken areas.
Since the Eighteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China, after years of unremitting efforts, by the end of 2019, 67 counties have quit one after another, but there are still 8 deeply impoverished counties including Dongxiang County, Linxia County, Tongwei County, and Min County.
After the provincial-level industry department's single-item acceptance verification, third-party evaluation and inspection procedures, the Gansu Provincial Government researched and agreed to withdraw 8 counties from the poor counties.
The Gansu Provincial Government stated that in the next step, it will continue to develop characteristic industries, maintain the momentum of tackling tough problems, and further investigate and fill vacancies, so as to achieve the policy of not taking off the hat without taking off the responsibility, taking off the hat without taking off the policy, removing the hat without taking off the assistance, and removing the hat without taking off the supervision.
On November 20, the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region issued a notice to approve 8 counties of Rongshui, Sanjiang, Napo, Leye, Longlin, Luocheng, Dahua, and Duan to withdraw from the poverty-stricken counties.
So far, the 106 counties (cities, districts) in Guangxi with poverty alleviation and development tasks have all been lifted out of poverty, 5,379 poor villages have been listed, and 54 poor counties have been cleared.
So far, Guangxi has bid farewell to absolute poverty in a historic way.
As of November 21, 21 projects in Gansu, Guangxi, Sichuan, Ningxia, Xinjiang, Yunnan, Anhui, Jiangxi, Hebei, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Henan, Hunan, Hainan, Chongqing, Tibet, Shaanxi, Qinghai, Hubei, etc. The poverty-stricken counties in the provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities have achieved all poverty alleviation.
