The Blue House said that President Moon Jae-in is adjusting the time to make the first phone call with Biden-elect today (12th).
President Moon is expected to first congratulate the election on the phone and convey his will to strengthen the ROK-US alliance.
It is also expected to call for continued cooperation in the peace process on the Korean Peninsula, including the denuclearization of North Korea.
President Moon will also attend the ASEAN-Korea video summit this afternoon and announce the New Southern Policy Plus Strategy that includes comprehensive health care cooperation.
