The plastic arts of 9-3

Half of the residents of 6B are artists who work in the visual arts.

More than 60% come from Seine-Saint-Denis.

To join the cultural fabric, you must submit a file presenting your project.

"Space Ix", the flying saucer

During confinement, a graphic designer imagined a flying saucer.

After three weeks of construction, “Space Ix” is ready.

“The children were at donf!

We can show in it, we even organized children's stories!

At school, 3-4 year olds assured their teachers that there was a saucer in Saint-Denis, ”he smiles.

But who is behind this yucca?

This is Gonzague Lacombe, the creator of the flying saucer.

“The 6B is a great testing ground,” he says.

We feel good there because we have fun, we play, we create.

An oasis in the city

Located at the confluence between the Saint-Denis canal and the Seine, the 6B has a beach and a garden to host events in summer.

The residents have built the exterior on the ruins of an old garbage dump.

There are also people like me who want to develop know-how and share it with others.

Creative citizens who are committed

On the outskirts of 6B, committed slogans flourish on the walls, such as “Futur is queer”.

“We also want to think about the town planning of Saint-Denis.

We are creative citizens who believe that the job is not just for politicians, ”says luthier Jean-Clément Grisard.

Neaucité, symbol of the gentrification of 6B

A StreetPress survey reveals that many projects led by real estate developers have multiplied in this old industrial wasteland, previously reserved for marginalized people.

The apartments of the Neaucité residence sell for example 4,000 euros per square meter.
