Monday night, several shootings broke out in the city center in Vienna, Austria.

Four people died under the bullets, one of them, a passer-by, died on the spot, two women and a man succumbed to their wounds on the night of Monday to Tuesday.

The assailant was from North Macedonia and described by the government as a "sympathizer" of ISIS. 

The track of the accomplice called into question

There is no evidence at this stage of the existence of a second assailant, the Austrian Minister of the Interior also said on Tuesday.

Viewing videos from the crime scene did not confirm that a second suspect was involved in the attack, Karl Nehammer said at a press conference.

Previously, he had assured that at least one other suspect was on the run.
